London Life is a member of the Pearl group of companies. Pearl Group is a specialist owner/manager of long-term savings and investment portfolios which also includes Pearl, Phoenix, NPI and Scottish Mutual International. The group has 7.65 million policies in force (as at 30 June 2009), and assets of around £66 billion. Its asset management company Ignis has around £71 billion funds under management (as at 30 November 2009). London Life is not selling any further life assurance policies but we welcome increases to existing contracts from existing customers.

As part of Pearl Group, London Life also sells a range of financial products including car, home and travel insurance; and commercial insurance for your business.

* A fund is defined as ‘closed’ if no new policies are being sold, ie. it is closed to new business. In the UK, there are approximately 70 closed life funds with a value of more than £290 billion, amounting to one fifth of the long-term insurance sector.
